Follow our adoption journey to our daughter- Aerie; whom God brings from Ethiopia, Africa. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20

9 months DTE
Today marks the

9th month since our Dossier (adoption paperwork)
was sent to Ethiopia.
We are still

number 3 on the baby girl waiting list
and number

8 on the overall list of families waiting for a referral!
We were told by our adoption agency on 3/31/11 that we could expect a referral within 1-3 months,
so we are hopeful to see our beautiful daughters face in the next few weeks.
Please keep Aerie, her biological family, and us in your prayers.
We are, of course, are excited to become parents. While that means great joy for us we realize that this means a traumatic event is most likely occurring in Aerie and her families life, and that thought breaks our hearts. We ask you to join us in praying for comfort and God's peace for Aerie and her family. We pray God holds Aerie when we can't and that he gives her family comfort in knowing that HE has a plan for Aerie and for them.
We pray that through her adoption God will be glorified.
We love you,
Angi & Tim

Running the race to Aerie
Tim and I are beginning to compile all of the necessary paperwork to update our Home Study. In adoption your paperwork has to be up-to-date until the time you bring your child/children home. So with the direction of our Home Study Agency we have begun the paperwork collection process again. Our wonderful Case-Worker, Kyla, will be coming to our home again to assess our home and ask us questions so she can update our information.
Just as we expect our daughters paperwork to be in order, ours must be too. So in the spirit of thankfullness that we have made it this far in the race to our daughter we begin our paperwork quest...again :)
This verse gives us clear instruction to carry on.

Please pray for us as we continue running the race.
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the game goes into strict training. They do it to get the crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it a slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. 1 Corth.9: 24-27
Amen.
