Some of you know that back 1 1/2 years ago when Tim and I were trying to make a final decision as to which country to adopt from I had a dream/vision.
Call me crazy if you want...
but one night as soon as I lay down in bed and shut my eyes I stepped into a 3rd world classroom. It was dusty and dark, only a couple windows brought light into the room. I stepped into the room with a tall blonde woman. We were standing toward the back of the room, in the isle between two rows of hand hewn-desks. At each desk sat 3 children. On my right toward the front of the class was the girl we came to see. The guide beside me stated "There is your daughter... Aerie(s)". As she said this our daughter turned to look at me with recognition in her eyes. Immediately upon hearing Aerie/s I opened my eyes in my bed and cried. Up to this point I had prayed over and over that God would "show" us where our daughter was.
The next morning I told Tim "Our daughter is in Africa", to which Tim replied "well...let's get going". That day I contacted AWAA about their Ethiopia program. We began our journey to Aerie.
As a side note:
About 10 days after the dream/vision I typed "Aerie Africa" into Google. I had no idea if Aerie was a place, a name, or a thing. To my suprise an orphanage in Soddo, Ethiopia came up. When I looked at the web-site I knew it was confirmation that 10 days earlier God had shown us where to go and that signing up for Ethiopia was correct.
I also learned that an Aerie's meaning is "a safe haven, a place high of safety, where eagles or hawks nest". What a blessing to know Aerie is safe, in a haven.
(There is a video of Aerie, Africa in the video pane to the right)
God bless you on your journey. May God make clear our paths, Amen.
Love, Angi & Tim
God can give such gracious gifts. He wants us to have the desires of our hearts. He once spoke to me in a clear audible voice. He told me He had my youngest and that she would be safe. This was the third day after she was taken from out home in a dissolved adoption. She was returned to me that evening and has been home ever since. Her birthmother is now a dear friend who accepted Christ through our difficult process. Several others have found Christ or direction in their lives as a result of that difficult time in our lives. God wants to use it all....for His Glory. Praying for you and your beautiful daughter. Keep listening...He will direct your path.
